How does internalized white supremacy in my body, emotions, spirit, and relationships keep me from bringing my full self to ending structural racism?

Finding Freedom is a workshop focused on examining these questions by catalyzing people who were socialized as white women to action to dismantle white supremacy, and welcomes people who are at any place in that journey without judgment or shaming. Finding Freedom emphasizes healing, movement, accountability, and community.

This online 5-part workshop is open to white female, trans, and genderqueer folks and will focus on building community, culture, and skills to prepare us to organize our communities, families, and lives toward racial justice. This course is for anyone who is white or multi-racial and relates to a white-lived experience. This course is for anyone who identifies as a woman (past, present, or future). Whether you have been thinking about and practicing racial justice for years or you are at the beginning of your journey, this course is for you. 

Finding Freedom seeks to redefine white womanhood* away from white supremacy and patriarchy and toward building mutual interest with people of color. Because we know we must move away from approaching racial justice work as shaming, isolating, and transactional and towards a healing, collective approach, rooted in our bodies, and in relationship. Because we must support white women and gender-expansive people to balance deep internal and personal work with experimentation and action. We need to prepare white women and gender-expansive people to show up constructively and with humility in people of color-led multiracial organizing. We know this is key to building up the movement we need to turn the tides away from White Supremacy and towards liberation.
