POSTPONED: Maine Climate Council: How Maine is Leading the Charge Against Climate Change
March 25, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
Out of an abundance of caution amid our community-wide fight to mitigate the coronavirus outbreak we have decided to postpone our events until further notice as we monitor the spread and potential impacts of COVID 19. Thank you for your understanding.
An update from the Governor’s Climate Council
Join us to hear from Maine’s New Climate Council, a multi-sector group designed to advise the Governor and Legislature on ways to mitigate the causes of, prepare for, and adapt to the consequences of climate change. The event will cover how climate change is affecting Maine, introduce Maine’s new Climate Council, and present tips on how you can engage with climate policy in the State. With a representative from the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future, who oversees the Council, along with two representatives from different working groups, we will surely be given comprehensive insight into this exciting and important initiative.
GUEST SPEAKERS:

She enjoys knitting together ideas, initiatives and people from across Maine and beyond.
Jesse Thompson, a member of the Climate Council’s Buildings Working Group, is an award-winning architect who has become a national leader in green building design.
