Mechanic’s Hall presents an evening with Author Rick Bass, Halcyon String Quartet, & special musical guests on Wednesday, August 11 from 7:00p.m.-9:00p.m..
Rick Bass, best known for his fiction and non-fiction story collections, will read from his recent work and discuss efforts to protect an ancient rainforest from the Black Ram logging project in northwest Montana’s Yaak Valley.
The evening will include performances by the Halcyon String Quartet and to-be-announced special musical guests!

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Rick Bass is a world renowned author of over thirty books and the receiver of multiple literary awards. He resides in the remote Yaak Valley of Montana. Rick’s connection to Maine includes a love for our wilderness and a position teaching at USM’s Stonecoast MFA in Creative Writing Program. He has taught creative writing for over 30 years.
